1. Prewashing the Pipes: If possible, pre-wash the steel pipes to remove any surface dust or contaminants before starting the plasma cutting process. This can be done with water or a suitable cleaning solution.

2. Cleaning the Cutting Area: Ensure the area where the cutting will take place is clear of dust and other particles. This includes regular cleaning of the cutting table and the surroundings.

3. Using a Dry Vacuum System: employ a dry vacuum system to suck up any loose dust and particles from the cutting area. This can be done before, during, or immediately after the cutting process.

4. Enhanced Safety Precautions: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, face shield, and respiratory protection to prevent inhalation of the dust which can be harmful when inhaled.

5. Optimizing Cutting Parameters: Adjust the plasma cutting parameters such as cutting speed, power setting, and gas flow to minimize the generation of sparks and spatter which can create additional dust.

6. Post-cutting Cleaning: After the cutting is complete, clean the freshly cut surface to remove anyscale or discoloration that may have occurred during the cutting process. This ensures a cleaner final product.

7. Regular Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on the plasma cutting machine to ensure it is in optimal condition. This includes checking and replacing worn-out parts that may contribute to the generation of dust and particles.
