Classification and application fields of industrial steel tees

Steel tee pipe joints are also called tee pipe joints or tee pipe joints. The main pipe adopts a tee joint. It has three vacancies, namely one inlet and two outlets; or two inlets and one outlet. It is a chemical pipeline fitting. It has T-shaped, Y-shaped, equal-diameter pipe holes and reducing-diameter pipe holes. It can be used to change the flow direction of the fluid, and can also be used in pipes, pipelines, and pipelines of various liquid chemical materials. It is mainly used in engineering fields such as medicine, water conservancy (water-saving irrigation, water supply, and drainage), energy (oil, natural gas, nuclear industry), and construction.

Classification of steel tees:

1. Classification by pipeline diameter: Same diameter steel tee: main pipe and branch pipe with the same diameter steel tee.

Different diameters of steel tees: the diameter of the branch pipe is smaller than the diameter of the main pipe.

2. Classification by docking form

Butt-welded steel tee: that is, a steel tee pipe fitting that is welded after being butt-welded with the connecting pipe fitting.

Socket steel tee: Insert the connecting pipe into both ends of the steel tee and weld the steel tee.

Compression steel tee: Each end is a compression fitting. After inserting the fitting, tighten the steel tee fitting.

Threaded steel tee: A steel tee fitting connected by thread.

3. Classification by material

It can be divided into stainless steel tee, carbon steel tee, copper tee, PVC tee, ductile iron tee, etc.

4. Classification by branch form

Main steel tee: It is a tee fitting for the branch pipe vertical to the main pipe.

Oblique steel tee: It is a tee fitting for the branch pipe at a certain angle to the main pipe.
