What are the applications of seamless stainless steel pipes in boilers

Seamless stainless steel pipes are widely used in various boiler equipment due to their excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and mechanical properties. The following are some boiler equipment types that commonly use seamless stainless steel pipes:

1. High-Pressure Boilers

High-pressure boilers must withstand high pressure and temperature, requiring extremely high strength and heat resistance from seamless stainless steel pipes. Seamless stainless steel pipes are commonly used in the manufacture of the following components of high-pressure boilers:

- Superheater tubes: Used to heat saturated steam to a superheated state, requiring resistance to high temperature and pressure.

- Reheater tubes: Used to reheat steam that has already undergone work to improve thermal efficiency.

- Main steam pipes: Used to transport high-temperature, high-pressure steam.

2. Nuclear Power Boilers

Nuclear power boilers have extremely high requirements for the safety and reliability of materials, and seamless stainless steel pipes are widely used due to their excellent performance:

- 347H seamless stainless steel high-pressure boiler pipes: Commonly used in high-pressure pipelines and piping in the nuclear power field, possessing good heat resistance and corrosion resistance.

- Other high-grade stainless steel materials, such as 316L and 321, are used to manufacture pipes and heat exchangers within nuclear reactors.

3. Heat Exchangers

Heat exchangers are used to transfer heat between different fluids, and seamless stainless steel pipes are one of their main materials:

- Heat transfer tubes: Used to transfer heat, requiring good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

- Condensers and evaporators: Used in condensation and evaporation processes, requiring corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance.

4. Biomass Boilers

Biomass boilers burn biomass fuel, producing a significant amount of corrosive gases, requiring corrosion-resistant seamless stainless steel pipes:

- Water-cooled wall tubes: Used to absorb heat generated during combustion and protect the furnace walls.

- Air ducts: Used to transport combustion air.

5. Gas-fired Boilers

Gas-fired boilers burn fuels such as natural gas, requiring seamless stainless steel pipes with high corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance:

- Superheated steam tubes: Used to increase steam temperature.

- Heating surface tubes: Used to absorb heat generated during combustion.

6. Coal-fired Boilers

Coal-fired boilers burn coal, producing high-temperature and corrosive gases that place stringent requirements on seamless stainless steel pipes:

- Superheater and reheater tubes: Used to increase steam temperature and reheat.

- Flue tubes: Used to transport flue gas produced during combustion.

7. Industrial Boilers

Industrial boilers are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industries, requiring corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant seamless stainless steel pipes:

- Evaporator tubes: Used in the evaporation process.

- Condenser tubes: Used in the condensation process.

8. Other Equipment

- Catalytic converter tubes: Used in catalytic reaction processes.

- Condenser: Used to condense steam into water.

Seamless stainless steel pipes have a wide and important application in boiler equipment; their performance and quality directly affect the safety and efficiency of the equipment.
